Don't Quit Your Day Job

I frequently get e-mails or forum messages from readers asking whether they should keep their day job and grow their business more slowly, or get funding and devote all their time to their new venture. In 99.9999% of the cases (and I'm still waiting for that one counter-example), I recommend, "Don't quit your day job." External funding is very difficult to come by, and it is rarely, if ever, enough.
