Money Talks: How to Use Public Speaking to Attract Clients

Every business day, thousands and thousands of professional associations, networking groups, chambers of commerce, and service organizations around the world need speakers to come talk to them about interesting topics. No matter who your audience, odds are there are dozens of groups in your area where you can find them and speak to them for free.

You have to be careful to make sure your speech is primarily informational, not an overt sales pitch, but make no mistake about it, speaking is selling. If you're up to it, there's no more cost-effective and time-effective way to position yourself as an expert on your topic in your local area.
