Sole Proprietorships Are Not So Simple

One of the attractions about going into business as a sole proprietor is that about all you have to do is a little marketing -- print up some flyers, get some business cards, and/or create a basic website. But while that may put you in business Day One, there are many other expenses that you need to consider and plan for. You don't necessarily have to spend the money up front, but if you get hit by surprise expenses and don't have the cash flow to meet them, it can drastically affect both your business and your personal life.
