POLL: What's Your Dream Business?

Thursday August 18, 2005
Every entrepreneur has a "dream business", and it may not be the one you're currently running. We may not be following that dream for a variety of reasons, but usually it boils down to two things: lack of capital and fear of failure.

If you absolutely knew that you could not fail at it, and you had enough capital, what would be your dream business to start and own? (click one to vote)

1. Entertainment (restaurant, bar, theater, amusement park)
2. Media (magazine, radio, TV, Internet media)
3. Travel & recreation (travel agent, tour guide, resort activities)
4. Consumer products (a new invention, cosmetics, household products)
5. Technology (software, computers, Internet, biotech)
6. Arts (graphic design, music, photography)
7. Finance (real estate, stocks, venture capital)
8. Personal services (coach, personal trainer, therapist)
9. Business services (accountant, virtual assistant, transportation)
10. Other (send me an e-mail and tell me about it - you might get featured!)

Vote to see the results, or view the results without voting, and then come discuss this in the forums. The categories above are pretty broad... what specifically is your dream business? Are you working on it now? If not, what's holding you back? What can you do today to start working towards your dream business?
