I must admit, I haven't been following up well lately. I know better. I know how much I appreciate when people follow up effectively and consistently with me, and I know that my sub-par follow-up right now is probably putting a dent in my reputation. For me, it's purely about being too busy -- hundreds of e-mails daily, a substantial number of them which actually merit a response.
So when Kelley Robertson sent me a copy of his latest article, The Power of Follow-Up, it hit me right smack between the eyes. It reminded me how incredibly important the seemingly simple task of just following up can be. So I'm now on a kick to follow up, even minimally, with all the new stuff that's in my inbox and to start working my way through my backlog. I hope you'll take a read and get motivated to do the same.
