Join the Conversation - Blog Comments Now Open

Friday November 11, 2005
For starters, if you're not familiar with what a blog is, simply put, you're looking at one. Part of the nature of blogs is for them to be conversational, bi-directional communication, not just a content push. That can be accomplished by writing about and linking to other blogs, as I've done below in the Carnival of the Capitalists post. It can also be accomplished by allowing comments on the blog posts. This offers a more immediate way for readers to provide feedback about articles than, say, our discussion forums or sending me an e-mail, although those options are available to you, as well.

So I invite you to join the conversation. At the bottom of each post you'll see a link for "comments" that will allow you to immediately post your thoughts on any of the blog entries. I look forward to hearing from you!

Wow, I get to be your first post! Woo Hoo! What a honor. So, can you tell me how I can create a blog of my own, without using one of those sites that people have to sign up for before they can post a comment? Appreciate it!

I would appreciate if you could feature some listening stuff on this website. The website itself is already a very interesting one, but this feature is still lacking.

I wrote about.com about their bias against listing conservative successes in the poll…like Art Williams (1.2 billion)…
New York-based so its a lost cause… but at least they know I know…

Don’t you think that allowing all sorts of comments to blogs increases possibility of blog spamming??
