Want a Summer Job? Make Your Own!

From Scott Allen, About.com GuideMay 9, 2006

For recent graduates, teachers or students off for the summer, or anyone else looking for some quick cash, summer is a great time to start a business. I've put together a list of six ideas that:
  • Don't require a lot of startup money.
  • Can turn a profit quickly.
  • You can walk away from in September if you want, or you can grow even more if things are going well.
But ideas are a dime a dozen. So I also provide:
  • What you'll need
  • Estimated startup costs
  • How much you can make
  • How to grow the business
  • Things to watch out for
  • The best web resource to help you learn more
So don't just settle for some boring summer job making money for someone else - crank up your entrepreneurial engine!
