Our Small Business Canada Guide Susan Ward has updated her list of Top 10 Home-Based Business Opportunities. #6 was a new one even on me, and just as applicable everywhere else as it is in Canada.

I was less shocked by seeing wedding-planner, then I was by realising that there wasn’t a single internet or IT based business. Were are the web designer and code-writers in the list?
“Webpreneur” is #1 on my “Business Ideas on a Budget” list. But I think Susan was going for opportunities based on current social trends. Web design and code-writing are pretty “evergreen”. Also, those markets are pretty saturated — I’m not sure they’re really the best choice for someone wondering, “I’d like to work from home – I wonder what kind of business I could start?”
