It's that time of year again -- that moment where we look back, take stock, reflect and make a whole new set of resolutions and goals for the New Year.
I know that 2012 was a big year for me -- it was the year that I finally took the plunge and went into business for myself. There were a lot of surprises and rich rewards to the process and I am extremely thankful for every opportunity that's come my way this year, including this one, the opportunity to be your guide to entrepreneurship here at About.com.
So I'd like to make a pact with all of you. Let's make 2013 the year of entrepreneurship. The year you finally take the plunge. The year you take your business to the next level.
In order to help you do that, every month, I'll be organizing content around a theme aimed at helping you to realize your entrepreneurial goals.
A sneak peak:
- January: Research
- February: Business Plan
- March: Funding
- April: Starting Up
- May: Marketing/Branding
And that's just the first five months! You can see a breakdown of the whole year with more detail on topics here.
Want to know how you can take part in this daring experiment? Well, first of all, leave me a comment to know that you're in, and furthermore, make sure that you're signed up for the newsletter. That will make sure you'll get the freshest new content hot off the presses each week.

I’m ready to take my business to the next level in 2013! I am especially looking forward to your funding month. Everyone says the same thing as far as investors and loans but I really want you to keep it real with this. The truth is is that loans are hard to come by if your credit is not perfect, investors are interested in certain businesses, and grants are mainly for government contracts. Please give me more options than that!
I soooooo in and ready for business
