Describe your business

Private investigation firm locating missing heirs and other beneficiaries.

Do you have a written business plan?

We have never had a business plan and, having built from zero to anticipated revenues of over $2 million this year, have no regrets. To put it simply, my partners and I all started the company while working other full time jobs. We just started doing our work and then kept going from there.

If you have a business plan, do you refer to it often?

As my previous answer indicates, Assets International does not have a business plan nor have we ever had one. I therefore do not have a business plan to which I can refer, even if I wanted to do so. I suppose that if we had a plan I would refer to it every year or so.

Advice

  • I would not give blanket advice to proceed without a business plan. Some business models, especially ones with a lot of internal complexities or laws or regulations that come into play certainly require a plan to consult along the way.
