Why is your business unique and what's your pitch?

Fatpacking guides moderately overweight people on backpacking adventure vacations to get in shape and lose weight.

I think most people would say that losing weight on a fun vacation where you eat as much as you want is fairly unique.

What led you to start the business?

Everyone can relate to working a job -- no matter how lucrative -- where they want to jab themselves in the head with a fork every day.

I had one of these positions and found that when I went on backpacking vacations, I returned not only refreshed, rejuvinated, and stress-free, but my clothing felt looser and I lost weight.

Since backpacking to incredible destinations is my passion, I thought I could inspire people to share my passion, all under the guise of losing weight or jump starting fitness level.

While participants do indeed alter their body compositions, they also experience a deeper connection with nature and are often inspired to protect our dwindling wild places.

Taking people Fatpacking is no way to begin an invincible financial empire, but it offers an incredible quality of life.

Lessons Learned

  • Sales is the most important part of business. If you sell it, you can figure out the rest.
  • Your website has to be attractive or engaging. Few people will do business with a site that looks horrifically ugly.
  • No matter how hard you try or how awesome you are, you cannot please every client./li>
