Tech Company's Business Runs on VoIP, Salesforce & Cloud Computing

Share Your Story: How Entrepreneurs Are Using Technology to Reduce Cost & Increase Profits

From Angela Cuzzo on behalf of Alteva

How are you using technology to grow your business?

Cloud-based technology is Alteva’s biggest asset–-our own and those of other companies. Our Salesforce.com Connector app automatically logs sales rep’s calls, improving efficiency and reporting accuracy. Our hosted VoIP solution helps provide useful reporting information to help us monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Alteva’s new Unified Communications solution provides dynamic new video conferencing capabilities that improve presentation capabilities. The mobility components of UC improve productivity, allowing sales reps to work remotely and employees homebound by a snowstorm to remain up.

What are your business's key tech tools and why?

We use Salesforce.com not only as a traditional CRM, but we also use it for customer service ticketing, to send and store customer satisfaction survey information and also for project management. Alteva’s own hosted VoIP system is our most valuable tool in growing our business. The custom call flows help us to respond to both sales calls and customer service calls quickly. In addition to supporting our customers, we utilize our Hosted VoIP platform for marketing campaigns. When we launch a new product or campaign, we assign a new phone number and track the inbound calls and then track that prospect as it moves through the Sales model. This allows Alteva to maximize its marketing dollars and do more of what works and eliminate the things that are not working.

Alteva’s Fixed Mobile Convergence product, Alteva Anywhere, is extremely helpful to our sales team members and our executive team because it enables them to make and receive calls anywhere at any time on one phone number.
